The White House, to me it is one of the most important buildings in history. The architect who created the building was an Irish architect James Hoban. Hoban was originally chosen by First president George Washington, however Washington would never live in the structure. The second President of The United States, John Adams would be the first to live in The White House. I think because of the rich history and events which involved or occurred in The White House, makes it the most inspiring building. The White House is the ultimate representation of success. If you are living in The White House you have become one of the most influential and important person on the planet. If the grand structure and representation of American history, doesn't inspire a young American to achieve the highest position in the country, I don't know what will. The White House is almost important as the American Flag it self, it represents what America has over come to get to the point we are at today, through the wars and battles, The United States still stands as "One nation".
Antoni Gaudi was born June 25, 1852, in Reus, Catalonia, Spain. Recently on 60 minutes they showed a special of the "Sagrada Familia" which is one of Gaudi's most famous structures. They explained how Gaudi was extremely advanced for his time. The Sagrada Familia has intricate art work throughout every aspect of the building, it is supposed to tell the story of the bible. The tall columns in the building are supposed to represent nature, which is pure of the catholic religion. The columns look as though they are twisted which is common among trees. The construction of the project started in 1882, and Gaudi's plans were so intricate that he knew that he would never see his masterpiece come to life, so he made prototypes to make sure that future architects would build it to his exact specifications. His work has yet to be completed so far it has been 131 years since the project has been started and it is estimated to be finished in the year 2026-2028. In my opinion I think it is one of the most beautiful buildings I've ever seen. I wish I could go to Barcelona and see it for myself. What I find very cool is that Gaudi designed it so that it is just under the height of the tallest mountain in Barcelona, to still capture the fact that God overlooks his people. Gaudi had several other works such as "Casa Mila" and the "Casa Batllo". The shapes and design of the building was very advanced for his time period the shape and grand scale of the structure would have not been imagined by architects in that time period. Overall the Sagrada Familia is a wonderful, function masterpiece. http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-504803_162-57573479-10391709/the-construction-zone-tour-of-sagrada-familia/
My dream house is an Adirondack style house on a lake, in the woods, it includes a full man cave and a log style decor inside the home. I have a boat and a great view right on the lake. My bloodhound will be living with me and my family, and will keep watch. Also I will have a dream wood working workshop so I can work n projects. This is most certainly components I would want in my dream house.
